Choosing a partner
Checked against HubSpot’s partner tier and programme pages, 3 November 2026.
What’s the difference between HubSpot Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Elite partners?
HubSpot ranks its Solutions Partners into tiers. New partners start untiered, then move up through Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Elite. A tier mostly reflects how much HubSpot business a partner brings in and keeps: the higher the tier, the more clients they’ve helped buy HubSpot and stay on it. It doesn’t directly measure the quality of a partner’s work, so check that separately.

Choosing a HubSpot partner?
Talk to a Platinum Partner where a senior consultant leads every project.
The tiers at a glance
Tier | What it signals |
Untiered | A registered Solutions Partner that hasn’t yet reached Gold |
Gold | An established partner with a track record of HubSpot clients |
Platinum | A larger book of HubSpot clients who stay with HubSpot |
Diamond | A large, long-standing partner whose clients renew year after year |
Elite | HubSpot’s top partners worldwide, by invitation |
How partners earn a tier
HubSpot looks at the HubSpot subscriptions a partner’s clients buy and keep, over the last 12 months. That includes new customers the partner brought to HubSpot and existing customers they look after.
The higher tiers ask for more:
Diamond and Elite also need strong client retention, so clients have to stay with HubSpot, not just sign up.
Elite also needs a large number of HubSpot certifications across the team, and an invitation from HubSpot.
Every partner also needs at least one person who holds HubSpot’s partner certification, and has to stay in good standing with HubSpot.
How often tiers change
Partners can move up in any month once they hit the next tier. Moving down only happens twice a year, at HubSpot’s tier reviews, and a partner keeps a new tier for at least six months.
So a tier tells you about the last 12 months, not about a partner’s whole history.
What a tier tells you
The partner is active. They are winning and keeping HubSpot clients.
Clients stay. From Diamond up, HubSpot checks that clients keep their subscriptions.
HubSpot knows them. Higher tiers get closer access to HubSpot’s partner team, which can help when you need something escalated.
What a tier doesn’t tell you
Who does your work. A large Diamond or Elite agency may have senior experts, but your project could still go to a junior team. Ask who will actually build your setup.
Whether they know your problem. Tiers count subscriptions, not skills in migration, integrations or reporting. HubSpot runs separate accreditations, such as CRM Implementation, which are more rigorous than certifications and open to Platinum partners and above.
What their clients say. Read the partner’s reviews on HubSpot’s Solutions Directory, and ask for case studies like yours.
Whether they suit your size. The biggest partners often focus on the largest accounts. A smaller, senior partner can give your project more attention.
How to check a partner’s tier
Every partner’s tier is shown on their profile in HubSpot’s Solutions Directory. You can filter the directory by tier, country and the services you need. If a partner says they’re Platinum, their profile should say so too.
Our take
We became a HubSpot Gold partner in November 2025 and Platinum a month later. We’re proud of it, but we’d never tell a client to pick a partner on tier alone.
Use the tier to make your shortlist. Then decide on the things that affect your project: who will do the work, whether they’ve solved problems like yours, and what their clients say. At Pineo, a senior consultant leads every project, and you can read every review on our HubSpot profile.
Frequently asked questions
What are the HubSpot partner tiers?
New partners start untiered. From there, the tiers are Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Elite, from lowest to highest.
How does a partner become HubSpot Platinum?
By growing the HubSpot business they bring in and keep. HubSpot looks at the subscriptions their clients buy and stay on over the last 12 months, and promotes partners who reach its Platinum threshold.
Is an Elite partner better than a Platinum partner?
Not necessarily for you. Elite partners bring in and keep more HubSpot business, and HubSpot invites them to the tier. That says a lot about scale, but not who will work on your project or whether they know your problem.
How often does HubSpot review partner tiers?
Partners can move up in any month. Moving down only happens at HubSpot’s twice-yearly tier reviews, and a new tier is kept for at least six months.
Where can I see a partner’s tier?
On their profile in HubSpot’s Solutions Directory, which you can filter by tier, country and services.
Is Pineo a HubSpot Platinum Partner?
Yes. We became a Gold partner in November 2025 and Platinum a month later. We’re also a Zapier Platinum Partner.
